Why don't all free fontawesome icons display?

I have fontawesome activated and set to display in the NTS Kay template and using the free solid icons. Some will display in the front end while others won't and show a blank white field. I'm using fa- and have tried fas-

For instance:

• fa-plug displays correctly
• fa-gear does not display
• fa-gears does not display
• fas- doesn't display at all

When I 'inspect' the element the ones that display have ::before in the string while the ones that don't display do not have :: before in the string.

Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

Currently our templates are supporting font Awesome version 5.15.4. So there are icons that only exist on version 4.x and rename classes on version 5.15.4. So you can visit fontawesome.com and choose version 5.x to find the right icons for your website.

Example:
- fa-gear (4.x) ~ fas-cog (5.x)
- fa-gears(4.x) ~ fas-cogs(5.x)
...

Similarly you can find the class name on fontawesome official website. (You should choose the icon version before using icon class name).

That explains it. Is there a plan or timeline for including v6?

We have exported new version for the NTS Kay template. In this version We updated to compatible with Kunena 6 latest version and included the FontAwesome version 6.x to template, that mean you can download and update to your webiste and use the new icons of the FontAwesome 6.x

Where do I find the update and how do I install it? The current template on your site looks like the same one I have (changelog hasn't been updated) and it's unclear how to update my existing template instead of installing it as a new one.

1) Installed the updated template and it reset all my color configurations
2) Half of the template color settings don't work or work improperly
3) It appears that you now have to use SVG instead of fontawesome to get the icons to display

In the attached screenshots from the NTS Kay template — the colors appearing in lime green either don't work or don't work properly.

1. Please backup your configure before reinstall the template.
2. We are checking this issue.
3. From template list, click to the template and Features tab. Select the "Fontawesome" option in Icon Type field.

When we enter 'fontawesome' none of the icons appear. When we enter 'svg' all the icons appear

Now both the Fontawesome and SVG icons display — not sure why as we have cache turned off and clear Chrome when testing.

However, we still have the color control issue
