I find various non-translated words in the template. Where can I adjust/override them?

I suspect that they are listed in de Language map of Kunena. I found some but the 'Thanks' I cannot adjust
COM_KUNENA_X_THANKS = "%d Bedankt" in the nl-NL.com_kunana.ini is not taken and when I replace the original in en-EN.com_kunena.ini bij the Dutch translation it is not taken. What do I do wrong?

In the meantime I found my way and changed the language files.
There is one item which does not change at the front end. And that is birthday-cake; regardless that I changed the 4 files.
Please help.

You should translate the right constant
Code:
COM_KUNENA_MYPROFILE_THANKYOU_RECEIVED
It is indeed not yet translated in the latest Kunena language package.
Tip: enable Debug Language in Global Configuration.
